NOTARY FACTS 101-What you should know

There are instances where a Notary "must" decline from Notarizing indefinitely:

• When a signers identification appears to be fraudulent
  
• When a signer presents an affidavit and refuses to take an oath or an affirmation (duly note this in your record book)
• When the signer appears to be under pressure or constraints 
• When the signer has no sufficient identification and a credible witness cannot be produced.
• When a signer is mentally disabled (comprehension disability)
• When a signer does not appear to be competent or aware of what he/she is signing and/or why he/she is signing it
